This unique little cottage, which now has all modern comforts, was once a station on the famous narrow gauge Welsh Highland Railway. Now a listed building, the cottage is held at VisitWales three star status only by the decisions of its buildres back in the 1870s, who then needed space for just a waiting room and ticket masters office.

The railway is now being restored, and trains stop at the halt by the cottage on their way up to Rhyd Ddu or down to Caernarfon. However, this is a fun railway, so there are no night trains! Guests are able to catch the train or simply watch it go by.

The cottage, ideally located at the start of the Snowdon Ranger Path up Snowdon, is well equipped, and comprises a double bedroom, shower room, and a lounge/diner with kitchen. Facilities include:

  • Digital colour TV
  • Radio / cassette / CD player
  • Video
  • 2 comfortable armchairs
  • Electric cooker
  • Microwave
  • small (2 c.ft.) freezer
  • Washing machine
  • Barbecue
  • Terrace with recliners
  • Garden area with stream and trees
  • En-suite shower and toilet
  • Fully inclusive charge
  • off-road parking

With easy access, this cosy old cottage provides a year round holiday venue, complete with good heating and insulation for any snowy winter nights.
